DNA Films
DNA films are behind some of the most distinctive UK films of recent years. DNA was the recipient of large amounts of lottery funding soon after the creation of the UK Film Council in 1997 and went on to strike a joint venture with Fox Searchlight which yielded films like 28 days Later and The Last King of Scotland. Forthcoming projects include a Garland supernatural thriller that he will direct, a project with BBC Films and Fox Searchlight, a contemporary musical, as well as a variety of TV projects. A further example of films produced by DNA films are: 28 Days Later, The Last King of Scotland, Sunshine, Never Let Me Go.
I believe that DNA films would invest in our thriller as they have a history of producing very successful thriller's such as 28 Days Later which was a considerable success at the box office and became highly profitable on a budget of only around £5 million. In the UK alone, it took in £6.1 million, while in the US it became an unexpected success, making over $45 million despite a limited release at fewer than 1,500 screens across the country. The film garnered around $82.7 million worldwide.
Working Title

Founded in 1983, Working Title has made over 100 films that have grossed nearly $6 billion worldwide. Its films have won 10 Academy Awards such as Tom Hooper’s Les Misérables, Joe Wright’s Anna Karenina, and Tim Robbins’ Dead Man Walking, Working Title have also 35 BAFTA Awards, and numerous prestigious prizes at the Cannes and Berlin International Film Festivals. I believe that working title would invest in our thriller as over the years they have produced a few successful thriller films but lately haven’t been producing many, this could give them cause to invest in our thriller as we can fill the gap for their lack of thriller films.
