Why I chose Media Studies
I chose to study Media as it is a subject that interests me greatly, I enjoy
watching and talking about all kinds of media whether it be about a new film
that just came out, and on-going soap of breaking news. I find it interesting
to learn about how films are made and how much work goes on to produce them. I’m
extremely excited to learn about all the different ways of using camera and
lighting techniques to create different moods for different styles of films.
For example we have already learned about how Film Noire is used to create mystery
and suspense, and how different shots of the cameras create tension such as an
extreme close up of a person’s face. When creating my own thriller I have chosen to work with Grant Marcus, Ben Myers and Dan Moran
